What does Sit Stay Fetch Include

The main book is divided into three sections. The first part concentrates on dog ownership generally. Stevens discusses the responsibilities of dog ownership and encourages the reader to assess whether or not dog ownership is something she or he is really ready for. He then provides some great tips in breed selection, choosing a breeder, puppy proofing the home and so forth.

The second section of the book goes into detail in understanding how dogs think and how you need to communicate to them (and how they try and communicate to you). There is also a good discussion on pack mentality and how this and the alpha role should be used to support obedience training and the happiness of your dog. Basic obedience commands and exercises to teach your dog these commands are presented and there is excellent detail in describing just about every behavioural issue you might come up against and how to correct them.

The third section of the book goes on to talk about some more advanced training techniques and in particular, presents a chapter on “Dog Whispering”, stripping away some of the mystery surrounding this technique.

What’s good about Secrets To Dog Training

The material is presented in the most logical fashion and in a way that anyone can understand. It isn’t boring - in fact, it’s a great read. And you don’t need any other dog training reference - this one covers it all. Just the behavioural issue section alone could be a book by itself. It itemizes 26 different issues and what to do about them, from aggression issues, to excessive digging, to barking and whining problems, to jumping up on people and furniture....everything is covered.

The bonuses compliment the main book. The package comes with seven additional e books providing indepth detail to address issues like house training, resolving aggression issues, grooming techniques, a book discussing how you can be the alpha for your dog, another book on security training your dog -even one containing 180 gourmet recipes for dog treats! What’s not so good about Sit Stay Fetch

In describing the training exercises the book doesn’t highlight some of the common mistakes that trainers often see. Successful dog training depends on the dog owner or dog handler getting it right - timing, technique, consistency etc. While the individual exercises are described in great detail, the book would be stronger if it had a section highlighting common mistakes that dog owners fall into when practicing these drills.

Even so, by contientiously following the instructions and studying the techniques Secrets To Dog training describes, you won't go wrong. Concentrate on the details (timing, posture, consistency in rewarding when appropriate and not rewarding when appropriate) and you will see results. Sit Stay Fetch is an excellent resource
