We loved The Four Secrets to Becoming a SuperTrainer and highly recommend you have a look at it. There's a reason that so many professional dog trainers are using clicker training techniques more and more - they work! This book explains clicker training theory, tells you why you don't have to listen to the debate between positive reinforcement or corrective training approaches and then takes you by the hand from basic to advanced clicker techniques. Over 200 pages of pure content and what is particularly good is the detail provided to ensure the reader does every excercise exactly right. A fun read and the bonus videos showing how to run basic obedience skills and teach more advanced tricks are an excellent add on.

If you don't like the idea of reading a 200 page book to learn about dog obedience training, then this obedience guide is for you. Dove Cresswell is one of the few professional dog trainers hollywood turns to when they need a dog trained quickly and effectively. She's created a series of Puppy and Dog Training Online videos that illustrates all the basic obedience training techiques you'll need. They aren't big files and have been designed for easy download. We thought these videos were fantastic - there is zero fluff and Dove really conveys the importance of body language in dog training (that a book can't) as well as some very infectious enthusiasm. The best dog obedience video series we've seen.
